This past weekend, our Blessings & Backpacks Drive was a true testimony of what can happen when a community comes together in faith and love. With the combined efforts of local businesses, volunteers, and our church family, we were able to bless 93 families in the Bruceville-Eddy community with school supplies and backpacks.
🌟 Coming Together for a Purpose
What started as a simple idea—to make sure every child starts school prepared—quickly grew into something much bigger. Businesses stepped forward with donations, neighbors gave generously, and volunteers gave their time and energy. Each act of kindness added up to something incredible: a chance for kids in our community to walk into their classrooms with confidence and excitement.
🙌 The Power of Community and Faith
Our church family at Bruceville Community Church worked hand in hand with community members to make this drive possible. From organizing supplies, to packing backpacks, to handing them out with a smile, every step was done with love and prayer. We were reminded of Galatians 6:9—“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
💙 A Lasting Impact
While the backpacks and supplies will be used up throughout the school year, the message behind this drive will last much longer: our community cares. Every child who received a backpack also received a reminder that they are loved, supported, and cheered on by their community.
🙏 Thank You
We are deeply grateful to every business, volunteer, and church member who made this possible. Because of you, 93 families walked away encouraged and equipped for the year ahead.
This was more than just a school supply drive—it was a reminder of God’s goodness and the strength of our community when we come together.
Blessings & Backpacks 2025 was a success… and this is just the beginning.
